Major characteristics

The ACOM technology improves combustion in liquid fuel fired boilers - ACOM is effective on fuels ranging form destillates to residuals
ACOM is not a fuel additive but used the combustion air as a carrier for catalytic active ions
The catalytic active ions are produced from a waterous solution of alkaline and earthalkaline salts
ACOM implies a negligible mass input namely ca. 10-3 PPM (related to fuel flow)
ACOM produced a high concentration of catalytic ions namely ca. 109 per cm3 combustion air

Oxidation catalyser active in flame and on depostits

ACOM Process

Air is passed through a waterous electrolyte of alkaline and earthalkaline metals
The air drags water bubbles along which disintegrate into microscopic droplets (typical diameter 10 μ)
The droplets evaporate forming aerosols
The aerosols dissociate in the flame into ions which are deposited on the boiler walls by thermophoresis
A catalytic effect promotes oxidation of the carbon particles in the flame and deposits
